Flexible Cementitious Waterproofing Membrane

DESCRIPTION

TREMproof® FCW is a 2 component and flexible cementitious waterproofing coating. It consists of special polymer pre-blended resin and fillers powder with graded fine quartz. TREMproof FCW is water based, non-toxic and non-hazardous.

Mixing of the two component results in a plastic, thixotropic and easily applicable compound, even to vertical surfaces.

BASIC USES

• Waterproof coatings of tanks, containers and water reservoirs, bathrooms, planter boxes, kitchens, ponds and swimming pools etc.
• Floors in garages, on parking areas, environmental decks and on specific roofs (protected) etc.

Minimum 2 coats at approximately 1.0 kg/m2 per coat

INSTALLATION

• Apply the well-mixed TREMproof FCW slurry with a brush, roller, or rubber squeegee onto the substrate.
• The recommended thickness of the coat to be applied is 1 to 2mm for walls and 1.8mm to 2mm for floors, depending on the expected water pressure.
• The required thickness is achieved by applying 2 layers, taking care that each layer is approximately 1.0 mm.
• Leave the first coating to dry for 2-3 hours before applying the second coat.
• Leave the second coat of TREMproof FCW to cure overnight before proceeding to conduct water ponding test.
• Exposed surfaces must be protected against direct UV-radiation. This can be done with a layer of screed, an Aluminum paint sprinkling of sand or laying of thermal insulation sheets.

LIMITATIONS

• Not to be used as a trafficable or UV stable waterproof membrane.
• Not to be used below grade.
• Do not apply to contaminated surfaces.
• The surface temperature for product application should be between 10°C and 30°C. The curing process will slow down substantially when substrate or ambient temperatures are below 10°C or where relative humidity is >85%.

Tremco warrants its Membranes to be free of defects in materials but makes no warranty as to appearance or colour. Since methods of application and on-site conditions are beyond our control and can affect performance. Tremco makes no other warranty, expressed or implied, including warranties of MERCHANTABILITY and FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, with respect to Tremco Membranes. Tremco’s sole obligation shall be, at its option, to replace, or refund the purchase of the quantity or Tremco Membranes proved to be defective and Tremco shall not be liable for any loss or damage.

Fluid-Applied, Elastomeric Coal-Tar Free Waterproofing Single Component

DESCRIPTION

TREMproof 201/60 is a high solids, VOC-compliant, bitumen modified polyurethane waterproofing membrane. It is a one-part,moisture curing elastomer available in two viscosities; Self-Leveling (SL) and Roller (R) that are suitable for applications to horizontal and vertical surfaces at 1.5mm WFT (wet film thickness).

Tremco Anti-Root Additive is available for use with TREMproof 201/60 as an optional feature to prohibit growing roots from affecting the overall performance of the waterproofing membrane.

BASIC USES

TREMproof 201/60 is suited for waterproofing in plaza decks, roof terraces, pedestrian concourses,podiums, toilets, kitchens, parking garages, planter boxes, backfilled walls, basement walls and split slabs, primarily on concrete and masonry.

COVERAGE

TREMproof 201/60, when applied at the recommended wet film thickness of 1.5mm or 60 mils, will cover 0.67 m2 per litre (1.5 litres/ m2).
Coverage will vary with surface condition.

INSTALLATION

Even though TREMproof 201/60 is a single component product it still requires some mixing to make sure that any liquid separation that
may have occurred during shipping or storage is eliminated. Before use, mix the TREMproof 201/60 using a slow speed, high torque drill equipped with a jiffy type mixing paddle for 2-3 minutes. Take care to keep the paddle submersed in the liquid during mixing. Raising the paddle in and out of the liquid can introduce air into the coating which can lead to pinholes in the cured coating.

Refer to the appropriate method statement for the system being installed for the required application techniques, application rates, etc. The techniques involved may require modification to adjust to the jobsite conditions. Consult your Tremco Sales Representative or Tremco Asia Technical Service for site conditions requirements.

LIMITATIONS

Not for use in submerged or gas vapour conditions.

Do not apply to damp or contaminated surfaces.

Not to be used as an exposed or wearing surface.

Not approved for direct contact with asphalt-based products.
